What Do We Mean By Plant Centered?
Eating plant centered (or whole food plant based) means that you are getting the majority of your calories from whole plant foods. Whole plant foods include vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds. You will find when you eat this way that you are satisfied and do not have cravings. It may seem hard to believe so you'll just have to try it for yourself!

Fun in the Kitchen with Chef Jackie: Learn how to organize your meal plan for the week and streamline your time in the kitchen. If you already love to cook, get great tips for how to season your dishes and keep your food interesting. Fee set by the amount of help you want.
Day Retreats: Yoga, Meditation, Plant Fit lunch, followed by a hike on 55 acres of beautiful trails with mountain views and creek.
OUR PLANT CENTERED STORY
We began eating Plant Centered to be 'food buddies' for a friend that was changing her diet because she was concerned about the heart disease in her family. In the midst of this, Jackie had a minor yoga injury that flared up into an autoimmune response. We continued with eating plant centered and after doing extensive research we went out to True North Health Center in Santa Rosa, CA for three weeks.
True North is an education center for Whole Food, Plant Based Nutrition and the only place in the US for medically supervised water fasting. We immersed ourselves in their program, water fasting and then eating SOS free (salt, oil, sugar free) meals. We listened to lectures from some of the leading experts in Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition and attended cooking demos, which Jackie, a trained chef ate up. over the world to use nutrition as a way to regain their health. We saw people get better! And Jackie's markers for autoimmune and inflammation are now gone. Both of us love eating this way. We've lost weight, our cholesterol and blood pressure have dropped but most importantly, we are feeling great!
